- Managing and moving vehicles and trailers around a busy yard
- Checking trailer temperatures
- Assisting Drivers with minor maintenance (e.g. bulb changes) to make vehicles roadworthy
- Checking on general trailer roadworthiness of trailers
- Responsibility for Driver H&S in the yard
- Yard tidiness / H&S
- Trailer audit and availability for use
In order to meet our requirements you should:
- Have no more than 6 points on your licence (with no DR10 penalty)
- Have a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience
- Hold a valid Digi card (drivers CPC)
- Hold a valid class 1 licence
In addition you will need to have the following skills and aptitudes:
- Excellent knowledge of Drivers hours rules and WTD
- Great communicator face to face and via phone
- Target driven (all deliveries on time)
- Flexible in approach
- Ability to deal with problems as they arise
