Location: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Hours: Part time, 2 x 12 hour shifts a week or Monday to Friday core hours

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • To perform manual laboratory procedures such as precision pipetting, reagent preparation and complex analytical procedures.
  • To undertake technical validation of complex results from laboratory investigations to ensure accuracy and precision as specified by laboratory protocols.
  • To undertake method and laboratory instrument evaluation within any of the sub sections as directed by the Head Biomedical Scientists.
  • To interpret laboratory results and take appropriate actions.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Relevant Specialist BMS Portfolio or Higher Specialist Portfolio Specialist Portfolio
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
