Role Overview & Responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Community Mental Health support worker 37.5 hours within the South Aberdeenshire mental health team, access to bases in Banchory.
The post holder will be expected to actively participate in the delivery of evidence / researched based patient care as part of the multi-disciplined community mental health team working mainly with a Dementia caseload.
The post holder will participate in the provision of individual and group treatment and have the ability to support the facilitation of these specialist groups and work with senior colleagues to develop the service further.
The post holder should be confident, organised and able to work on their own and have good interpersonal skills.
The post holder should have the ability to work towards SVQ health and social care level 2/3.
Previous experience of working with older adults or people with mental health problems would be an advantage.
