Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have 2 permanent 25 hours posts and the ours are worked over 7 days between 8am to 8pm
The Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) will participate clinics within the Health Centres in West Dun HSCP. They will focus mainly on phlebotomy and biometrics and will observe and report any change in the results to the GP.
Minimum requirements are
- Experience in working with adults in a health or social care setting
- SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience
- Ability to work with people and as part of a team, and to work alone in a clinical setting
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- IT skills
- It is desirable to be trained in taking bloods and biometrics.
- Basic wound care is desirable
- Car user
