Improvement Advisor x 3 (Ref: 143528)

£46,244 - £53,789 (Band 7) - pro rata for part time hours

1 x Fixed-term contract/secondment to March 2024 (Full time – 37.5 hours per week)

1 x Fixed-term contract/secondment to March 2025 (Full time – 37.5 hours per week)

1 x Fixed-term contract/secondment to March 2026 (Part time – 18.75 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Improvement Advisors to join the Improvement Hub (ihub) within Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS). The ihub provides support for the redesign and continuous improvement of Health and Social Care services. With an impressive range of improvement support programmes, we aspire to be at the leading edge of both thinking and practice in quality improvement. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and positive individuals to assist in the in the scoping, design and delivery of the relevant programmes. Individuals should be educated to degree level and either hold a master’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and have significant experience in improving services in health and social care services.

Mental Health Improvement Portfolio

Full time (37.5 hours per week) - to March 2024

Primary responsibility of this post will be working as part of the Improving our Response (IoR) Programme commissioned by Scottish Government to improve the care received by individuals with both mental health and substance use needs.

Housing, Homelessness and Healthcare Portfolio

Full time (37.5 hours per week) - to March 2025

Part time (18.75 hours per week*) - to March 2026

We are looking for experienced improvers to take up critical roles in the ihub’s Substance Use Team within the Housing, Homelessness and Health Portfolio. These roles will support people with drug addiction to have timely access to effective care and treatment, with a focus on recovery to improve the long term health outcomes for people who seek recovery from addiction.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of applying a range of improvement methods within different contexts and possess a track record of working with a wide range of stakeholders in a health and social care setting. As a natural communicator, the successful candidates will relish the opportunity to network effectively, develop positive relationships across the system and engage and support people to achieve change.
