Assistant Technical Officer – Cardiographer
Role Overview & Responsibilities
After a period of formal in-house training normally covering 6-12 months and a 2 day ECG workshop covering ECG interpretation, would be required to be competent in identifying the correct lead positions in performing a 12 lead ECG, knowledge of basic cardiac rhythms and life threatening arrhythmias.
Highly developed sensory skills, dexterity and co-ordination for rapid application of ECG electrodes.
Work towards completing the Certificate in Electrocardiography exam as set by the Cardiac Society.
