Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Phlebotomy department provides a comprehensive service which includes obtaining blood samples from inpatients and hospital clinics. This is a busy and varied post. The successful candidate will form an integral part of a highly skilled team.
A rota is operated for duties covering all sites and and clinics. The successful candidate will be expected to work on any site within the Northumbria geographical area, although will predominantly work from one site. Our phlebotomy team cover a 7 day working week 365 days a year with shifts covering 08:00-16:30. You will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
There is a 16 hour role available, across North Tyneside General Hospital, Wansbeck General Hospital and at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Hospital in Cramlington.
