Role Overview & Responsibilities
Wynhill Lodge is a short breaks service for up to 10 adults who have a learning disability, autism or additional health needs. The work can be challenging but is rewarding in return.
As a care worker, you will earn between £10.60- £10.98 per hour as standard, in addition to this you will be paid enhancements for working unsociable hours, these are: Monday – Friday after 8pm £14.13- £14.64 after 8pm. Weekends £15.90 -£16.47 and Bank Holidays £21.20- £21.96. Our shifts are 6.45am to 2.45pm & 2pm to 10pm.
At Wynhill we are committed to helping people live their best lives and have as much control over their stay as they are able. Apart from supporting with the basic daily living skills like bathing, eating etc, we like to offer a wide range of activities on a daily basis, so be prepared to go to the cinema to see the latest movie, or landing a full strike when supporting someone at ten pin bowling. No two days are ever the same. The young people who come to Wynhill love going out and about trying out new things, maybe you have a hobby that you can share? A love for gardening, a musician, an artist?
We provide first class training to enable you to carry out your role successfully and offer monthly supervision to support you in your role.
