Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a cook for Oak View Care Home, you will be preparing and providing meals for our 16 service users within our care.
You will need to plan menus, prepare and cook meals in adherance to the dietary needs of our residents, as well as ensuring that the kitchen and food storage areas are kept clean, tidy and hygienic at all times. As well as this, you will need to build strong rapports with our service users in order to keep up to date with their changing needs and likes/dislikes in relation to their food.
Ideally, you will have QCF/NVQ2 or equivalent in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cooking qualification or, a minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and an understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
