Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring the completeness of One World Accounts. The scope of the role is to implement and maintain an appropriate control environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Take responsibility for managing all aspects of accounting including cash management, purchase ledger and credit control.

· Lead on month end, preparing and posting journals, close books to trial balance, production of Management Accounts and review of Group journals and recharges.

· Take ownership of finance systems.

· Maintain rolling P&L/cash forecasts and oversee supplier payments.

· Lead and coordinate the One World Statutory accounts filing and collaborate with External auditors.

· Production of daily, weekly and monthly KPI information used by the business to optimise performance and trading.

· Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasting.

· Monitor costs through the business to ensure efficient user of financial resources.

· Coordinate R&D Tax relief claims and wider tax matters to ensure compliance.

· Any other ad hoc projects as required

· Effectively manage cash to ensure expenditure is optimised

· Provide weekly and monthly management reporting.

· Deliver annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes

· Work closely with other members of the One World team across all departments (CEO, Product, Technical Commercial & Operations) to help drive continuous improvement in performance and profitability through provision of the key financial information and KPIs, both financial and non-financial

· Building the right control environment and ensure the finance function remains fit for purpose as the business grows

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

· 4 - 5 years post qualified accountant

· 4 - 5 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

· Experience of working within a technology/service orientated business.

· Experience with a fast-changing start-up environment

· Some B2B experience is desirable but not essential.

· Strong Analytical skills and an attention to detail.

· Advanced Excel skills

· Ability to manage self and others to meet strict deadlines

· Ability to manage and prioritise multiple activities

Nice to have :Experience in Supply Chain & Logistics or SaaS companies
