Role Overview & Responsibilities
PDM are one of the UK’s leading salad growers, growing over 8,800 tonnes of baby leaf and over 80 million heads of lettuce and celery yearly. We’re experts in flavour and combine our passion for growing, production and product development with the latest technology to deliver fresh solutions and delicious produce.
PDM has two elements, the Farm and the Production Factory, the role of Hygiene Team Supervisor is based within the factory, where we produce over 20 varieties of bagged salads, totalling 94 million bags per year.
As part of the PDM team the Hygiene Team Supervisor will report directly to the Hygiene Manager working a night shift covering 7 nights per week on a set rotation.
Primary Responsibilities
- To organise and Supervise the hygiene team to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and frequencies.
- To monitor hygiene standards in all areas across both factories and implement corrective actions where required.
- To ensure that all Hygiene documentation is completed daily, is in good order and will withstand full auditing.
- To complete regular Hygiene audits (weekly) on all areas of responsibility within the factories, and ensure any corrective action required, is completed in a timely manner to drive continuous improvement in the hygiene process.
- To Supervise, lead and develop members of the hygiene team. To ensure adequate documented training of all hygiene staff within your responsibility
- To ensure the correct PPE is available and worn by the hygiene team at all times. To ensure all PPE is fit for purpose, not damaged or in need of replacement.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures are followed at all times
- To ensure that Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times, to include the adherence to regulations regarding the control and safe use of chemicals

Salary: £24,805.00-£33,294.00 per year
