Healthy Minds Oldham IAPT service is seeking to recruit a Research Assistant to oversee the implementation of a research trial into the 'Dream Completion Technique'. The trial will be a single centre 2-arm pilot trial comparing the Dream Completion Technique + Treatment As Usual (TAU) versus TAU for patients with at least one nightmare per week . This is an innovative piece of research that seeks to advance knowledge in this area of practice. As the Research Assistant you will make a contribution to improving patient care and extending knowledge.
No clinical trials in the treatment of nightmares have been conducted in the UK, and nightmares are an under researched topic which has become especially relevant in the COVID era. This is research is in partnership with the University of Swansea and Dr Justin Havens.
