Role Overview & Responsibilities
Overall Purpose of the Role:
Production of goods using mixing vessels and in accordance with works orders / batch sheets. Set up and operate equipment with best manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures whilst enhancing overall productivity and maintaining quality requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Fill out necessary paperwork and batch records to a high standard of accuracy.- Ensure output targets are met and stock levels are monitored and corrected as required.
- Ensure mixing equipment and product quality are maintained within Standard Operating Procedures and customers’ expectations.
- Strictly follow detailed mixing instructions to monitor equipment, temperature and take samples for testing at required times.
- Follow departmental and role specific SOP’s and SSOW’s.
- Use FLT or Stacker Truck to load vessels with prepared jobs (kits).
- Follow sanitising guidelines for cleaning and keeping the working environment clean by adopting Clean as You Go principles.
- Ensure EH&S, COSHH processes and procedures are always adhered to.
- Follow all GMP requirements.
- Ensure that any problems that may affect safety or quality are reported in timely manner.
- Promote good interpersonal relationships with other team members, management, and other departments to work effectively to ensure delivery of production targets and customer requirements
- For dispensing of materials bar code scanners to be used on all weighed out materials
Experience & Qualifications:
Skills and Experience:
- Experience within cosmetics or pharmaceuticals would be beneficial
- Forklift License, Stacker Truck License
- Relevant blending or compounding experience, cosmetic or personal care setting preferred
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
