Assistant Transport Team Manager
Due to internal growth and progression within our fantastic Wigan DC team, we are now recruiting for a Assistant Transport Team Manager!
We are a fast paced, ever growing retail business and are looking for people who share our values to join this team.
What will I be doing?
To support the Transport Team Managers in effectively co-ordinating all elements of the Transport function.
What will I be accountable for?
Key accountabilities will include:
- Dispatch drivers in line with the Transport Daily Plan.
- Debrief Drivers at the end of their shift, using the Red/Green Debrief Procedure.
- Ensuring that the Transport Team Managers are fully notified of driver allocation Including driver no shows.
- Analyse and confirm driver hours from tachomaster mirror’s the driver’s daily journey time.
- Daily completion of the Driver Delivery Schedule ensuring the correct inputting of:
- Driver Journey hours
- Driver duty hours
- Document of fuel usage
- Trunk case information
What are we looking for?
Skill
- Experienced in working in a Transport environment is desired but not essential.
- Capable of coping with significant change and a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Highly motivated.
- Strong communicator.
- Flexible to suit business needs.
- PC Literate.
