Linux Engineer
Plymouth – Hybrid working (2 days on-site per week)
Our client based in Plymouth, Devon is currently seeking a motivated and innovative individual to join their team as a Linux Engineer.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. They are looking for an individual who has a strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, scripting and automation, networking, and system administration. You should also have experience with system security, patch management, and system performance tuning.
Required experience:
Linux and its tools and troubleshooting (Ubuntu, Fedora, CentOS)
Storage filesystems and access protocols (XFS/NFS/S3)
Virtualisation and containerisation (VMware/Kubernetes)
Security best practices and firewalls (IPtables)
System administration automation. (Ansible)
Linux Integration with Windows Active Directory (SSSD)
Disaster recovery software and technologies (Dell/EMC Networker, Commvault, Avamar and LTO Tape)
