Lab Assistant

Proclinical are recruiting a Lab Assistant for a specialised biotech client. This role is based in Cambridge for a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Complete laboratory tests to produce specific data to support numerous investigations.
• Perform routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies.
• Participate and assist with animal related procedures.
• Create and maintain records and associated experimental results in electronic and physical databases
• Prepare specimens and samples.
• Monitors and prepares orders to ensure efficient functioning of the laboratory.
• Exercises knowledge of biosafety safety concerns when working with human samples.
• Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in supporting with the planning, problem analysis, handling and delivering wet lab experiments
• A background in biology or other life science area.
• The capability and motivation to learn specific, practical techniques and apply this data to solve methodological problems.
• Confidence in the use technical equipment.
• Time management skills to work on numerous projects.
