Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Looking for a self-motivated individual who demonstrates the ability to self-manage time and priorities based on work requirement guidelines. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your expertise in a dynamic environment as customer requirements evolve.
- You will be expected to implement solutions to improve network security, performance, and alerting.
- Work with the IT Department and Team leads to ensure network security and connectivity
- Deploy, maintain, and manage routers, MPLS, switches, and all network components within the environment.
- Maintain VLAN, IOS upgrades and IP address schemas.
- Ensure proxy authentication through NPS (network policy service) and Radius.
- Resolve escalations on an array of end-user wireless and wired networking problems.
- Ensure efficiency, security, reliability and usability of network equipment through proactive monitoring and automation.
- Manage day-to-day administration of Switches, Routers, and Firewall and their supportingapplications.
- Conduct network vulnerability assessments to evaluate and identify network and/or systemvulnerabilities and develop plans for remediation.
- Configure and manage Meraki firewall rules - protocols, ports, services.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide key input of overall network components and strategy aligned with business requirements including LAN / WAN environments connected to a global platform.
- Work closely with senior managers, test and process engineers, quality engineers, system administrators and other cross functional teams in a dynamic environment in order to implement cost effective network solutions based on business objectives.
- Proactive in monitoring network performance with alerting mechanisms to ensure uptime availability and reliable data flow.
- Develop thorough documentation including network diagrams, outlines and technical specifications.
- Evaluate, define, and draft security policies and procedures regarding network security posture, data flow and audits.
- Install and maintain network infrastructure, including hardware, software for high-performance networks.
- Install server-based network applications.
- Perform network related tests, research and problem resolution.
- Wireless (Wi-Fi) and Routing/Switching, AP placement and optimal coverage implementation
- Can be called upon 24x7 in a support role on the occasions that require network engineer expertise.
Education and Experience (Relevant or Preferred):
- BS degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise level networks.
- CCNA Certification.
- CCNP Certification a plus
- MCSE a plus.
- Knowledge in Enterprise architecture, infrastructure deployments and solutions design.
- Experience with networking protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, IPV4,6).
- Experience with High-availability solutions and products.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift to 30 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
