Do you have a passion for working with children and families, inspiring them with the natural world? Are you experienced in outdoor learning? Do you want to be part of driving a movement and empowering people to take action for wildlife? We have just the role for you!

Nature is in trouble. We have reached a tipping point. Wildlife is in freefall both locally and nationally and our climate is in crisis. By 2030 we must see nature recovering, wildlife returning and ecosystems restored and we need many, many more people on nature’s side. We urgently need one in four people to take action to bring wildlife back across our region.

The Wilder Childhood Officer will join the Wilder Engagement Team, supporting the delivery and development of childhood work, including School Projects, family events, teacher training and the growth of the Wilder Schools Network.

Our wilder childhood work seeks to connect children to nature, inspiring them to care for and take action for wildlife. We are working to empower and mobilise schools, families and children via self-sustaining networks and a community organising approach.

At Cheshire Wildlife Trust we embrace agile working with a focus on supporting you to achieve your objectives alongside a healthy work-life balance. We operate a hybrid working policy with most staff working at least part of the week from home and/or out on site.

To apply for this role, send your cover letter (no more than 1 side of A4 in PDF format) and CV to jobs@cheshirewt.org.uk.

This is a part time position - 21 hours per week
