Role Overview & Responsibilities
With the state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities from laser-cutting to bar-coding technology they would like to offer an opportunity to become an apprentice fabricator/welder (full training will be provided):
- Trained to read and interpret technical drawings and data
- Welding and manufacturing steel products
- Use a variety of welding techniques
- Checking products meet the required standard
- Maintain equipment
- Work towards achieving efficiency and targets
- Observe company H&S procedures
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
It is hoped that the successful applicant will continue to work on a permanent basis following completion of the apprenticeship and progress onto higher qualifications (this will be dependent upon performance throughout the duration of the apprenticeship programme).
