clinical psychologist
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Older Adult & Neurological Conditions Psychology Service at Sheffield Health & Social Care Trust (SHSC). We are looking for a newly qualified (or soon to be qualified 2023) 'Band 7' Psychologist who would like to join our passionate team working with older people with mental health difficulties and people who have had strokes. This is a fantastic post for newly qualified psychologists as you will gain a broad range of experience in mental and physical health services in community and in-patient settings.
The post is 0.8 wte (30 hours) and is in the community stroke service, working across the stroke pathway. This is an exciting time for stroke services, with the introduction of Integrated Stroke Delivery Networks and the new National Stroke Service Model.
There are great opportunities to develop your own supervision skills, access weekly supervision and attend regular peer supervision. You will have access to a wealth of experience (CBT accredited supervisors, neuropsychology supervision, EMDR trained psychologists) and CPD opportunities (e.g CBT, QICN modules, dependent on interest/needs of the service).
