Heavy Plant Fitter

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Heavy Plant Fitter within Smiths. This is a permanent, full-time position and will be based at the Company’s head office at Enslow in Oxfordshire.

You will service and maintain a wide range of static and mobile quarry plant encompassing Cat, Volvo and Liebherr loading shovels and excavators up to 52 tonnes, as well as Finlay, Metso, Kleeman and Powerscreen crushers and screen plus Static Plants.

You will have the ability to use oxy/acc cutting equipment and be a competent welder with a reasonable amount of fabrication skills, you will be expected to work within the Heavy Plant team but also be able to work on your own initiative.

You will be based from our Head Office in Enslow but will be required to travel around the sites in Oxfordshire to undertake your duties.

To be successful within the role you will have:

• Can do attitude and willingness to be flexible in terms of daily duties and take on a multitude of tasks;
• Excellent organisational skills;
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships;
• Willingness to learn;
• Full UK Driving Licence, a company vehicle is provided for the role to use for work purposes.

This is a permanent position and hours of work are 07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, with overtime available on Saturdays and at other times to suit the business needs.
