Food Service Assistant / Barista

Heritage Portfolio are currently looking for a talented and passionate Food Service Assistant - Barista to join their team at the cafe located in V&A Dundee. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking to succeed in a fast and innovative catering facility.

What is in for you:

• 4+ Hours per week. Casual contract so flexibility within the role
• £10.90 per hour
• Predominantly day shifts but some evenings as required
• 5 out of 7 days per week
• Full training provided
• Frequent transport links within a short walk

Main Responsibilities:

• Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to benefit both the company and the guests.
• Prepare and serve freshly ground coffee to the standards
• Ensure tables are kept clean at all times and that condiments are well stocked.
• Help answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices and related items.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal, but if you have excellent people skills, we’d still love to hear from you!
• Barista experience would be great but not essential.
• A positive and approachable attitude is a must, as this is a customer facing role.
• Being the first face many of our visitors will see, you’ll be a role model when it comes to what a great service will look like.
• We want you to bring your great communication skills, strong teamwork ethos and a positive can-do attitude!
• Being a team player is really important, but you’ll also need to be able to work well on your own.
