Anti-Poverty Monitoring Officer

£37,261 pa
You will support the Anti-Poverty Strategy Co-ordinator and Corporate Lead Officer for Policy and Insight and teams from across the Council and the wider South Tyneside Partnership to co-ordinate and monitor activity related to tackling poverty in the Borough. Boosting financial security and targeting support to make things fairer are two of the key ambitions in the refreshed 20-year South Tyneside Vision and are a major focus for the Council over the medium-term.
The Council has recently established a multi-partner South Tyneside Poverty Group and held a summit on measures to tackle the cost of living crisis and help to reduce and mitigate poverty. This post will play a key role in delivering on this vital and ambitious agenda.
