Part Time Retail Sales Assistant

Spar is a 24 hour store in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

As a Retail Assistant you will be at the forefront of our store driving customer service. Although sales are important we want our customers to enjoy visiting our store and ultimately come back again, it is your job to provide help and assistance to the customer and ensure they find everything they need whilst in our store. Product knowledge is essential for you to respond to customer enquiries and also make appropriate recommendations.

Duties and responsibilities

Maximise sales by delivering excellent customer service.

Till operation and cash handling.

Controlling and replenishing stock levels.

Maintaining security within the store according to Company Procedures.

Ensuring that all store standards including customer service, health and safety, and food and hygiene are maintained.

General cleaning duties.

Experience is preferred.

Applicants will need

Previous experience in retail, especially NIGHT work. Night-shifts are a challenging environment to work in so previous experience would be beneficial.

Helpful, friendly and comfortable working with the public.

To be enthusiastic, committed and self motivated.

To be able to work as part of a team but also on their own initiative.

Hours of work are 2 / 3 shifts per week 06:45am-3pm / 14:45pm-11pm

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week

Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
