Role Overview & Responsibilities
In 2017 the government published a green paper "Transforming children and young people's mental health provision". Within that paper the recommendations included focusing on getting mental health practitioners into schools/college. Through a successful bid from NHS England, Darlington has been given the opportunity to set up a Mental Health Support Team.
We are looking to appoint a Psychological Therapist CBT - 18.75 hours. The post holder will be responsible for offering both clinical and caseload supervision, leadership to the Senior Psychological Well-Being Practitioners (PWP's) and Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP's) alongside delivering CBT interventions at a high-quality level. They will be a vital part of the development of the Governed Psychological Therapies within The MHST's, The post holder will be part of the collective leadership of Governed Psychological Therapies and contribute to the development of colleagues in the team.
