MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Maintenance Department. We are hiring a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team.

You will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance as and when required.

To do well in this role you should have previous experience in a maintenance based role, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools and be able to understand schematics and repair manuals.

This is a full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting routine inspections of our premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
• Taking apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues as necessary.
• Use of common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, sanders and wrenches.

What we are looking for:

• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical and painting/ decorating works is desirable.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices (PAT).
• A current driving license is essential.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
