Logistics Long Term Planning Specialist

As part of the Distribution Planning team the logistics specialist will be accountable for converting commercial planning into a variety of budgeting and forecasting tools for operational partners within our European Processing Centre’s and Logistics teams balancing plans between cost, service and operational viability. This role is critical in getting that balance right in agreement with our partners.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Build and develop relationships with business partners to engage and influence across various levels within the business.

• Support with the creation of annual operational budgets and forecasts for our European Processing centre's

• Collaborate with operational partners to understand any potential risks or opportunities against current business direction

• Liaise with Finance partners to ensure our plans are fiscally responsible

• Support in communication to the wider business around Distribution and Logistics operational capability

• Play an active role in enhancing our current planning offering to support operational execution

• Awareness of business key focuses and support execution

• Translation of Processing centre's operational plans into Inbound/Outbound Logistics requirements

• Support the execution of business events and seasonal priorities through partnering with Merchandising, Logistics and PCs

• Identify, understand and react to Supply Chain trends and their associated impacts to either resolve issues or find planning solutions

• Be the point of contact with merchandising/Loss Prevention to understand any change requests and model through the impact to the network. Present the findings back within various levels

• Deliver one point of Distribution contact to the Merchandising function – answer/support queries from Merchandising and Buying when required

• Train, share and teach technical knowledge and experience within the DP&A team, the Distribution function and the Buying and Merchandising functions.
