Green Spaces Parks Project Officer

Sandwell benefits from 543 Green Spaces, including 32 parks and gardens. As part of our Green Spaces Strategy, Sandwell is delivering an ambitious programme of improvements and development, with a focus on green spaces with lower quality and value scores. The recent Town’s Fund £2.4m co investment into Britannia Park is an example of this investment. Alongside this, other major projects are due to be funded and announced.

This role will take lead responsibility for implementing large projects, and other investments, managing the development from procurement to full delivery of the project outputs.

The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, an understanding of working with contractors and suppliers, and a keen grasp of and passion for community engagement.

This is an ideal role for somebody who is passionate about green spaces, improving the lives of Sandwell residents, and absolute focus on delivering to deadline and specification.

You must be educated to degree level or equivalent experience in Urban Design/Landscape and hold a clean driving licence.
