Trainee Practice Accountant

Exclusive to TPF Recruitment - Our client is a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Chatham. They are seeking an experienced Trainee Practice Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will ideally be studying the AAT, or be AAT qualified with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in practice, or qualified by experience.

Within this position, the successful candidate will be given excellent opportunities to progress within their technical ability, and career while working with a supportive team around them. Our client services a range of local owner managed businesses from sole traders, through to Ltd companies and partnerships.

• Preparation of statutory accounts

• Preparation of, or support with management accounts for a variety of clients

• Preparation of corporate tax and personal tax computations

• Preparation of VAT returns

• General bookkeeping using cloud software- Xero, QuickBooks, Sage etc.

• Supporting the directors with ad-hoc advisory work

• Assisting more junior members of staff
