Energy Analyst - Graduate / Second Jobber
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly competent all-rounder with good people and leadership skills, the ability to pick up new ideas quickly, proficiency in using technology and an understanding of what running a commercial business entails. Tasks will include:
- Customer account management – mainly with SMEs and property portfolios
- Communication and engagement with other industry participants
- Overseeing operational processes
- Specifying enhancements to the business management platform
- Forging strong relationships with brokers in a bid to win new energy supplies
- Business development
You will be working with five current analysts and the director of the company, which is an offshoot of a successful student bill splitting company. The office is shared with a bigger start-up, so there is a young and friendly working atmosphere. As the firm grows there will be opportunities to develop your skills in multiple areas.
Qualities:
- Previous experience within the utilities industry is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and with good business acumen
- Hard working, organised, thorough and with meticulous attention for detail
- Good problem solver, able to use own initiative and see solutions through to resolution
- Can work under pressure
- Flexibility in a changing working environment
- Working to multiple targets simultaneously
- Ideally educated to degree level
- Able to learn quickly, think independently, challenge business decisions and willing to offer input into the direction and organisation of the company
Skills:
- Excellent communicator
- Organised and numerate
- IT literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite packages
- Ability to engage and build relationships with customers and intermediaries

- Salary is between £26k and £30k depending on experience or educational background.
