Instructor
Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Tutoring Club of Newark is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable and talented individual who will work in a positive manner with writing, literature, reading and math students as young as 2nd graders and as old as high school seniors.
The ideal candidate will have earned at least their undergrad degree and has worked with children in a tutoring or classroom environment. The potential tutor must possess a strong writing and math background. We provide a hands-on experience for our students in the center. Showing the steps of the writing process - how to organize, draft and revise/edit and the steps to solve different types of math problems are very important since students do not get enough individual attention in these areas. Furthermore, the ability to work with SAT students for the verbal and writing sections is a definite plus and can ensure the potential for more hours.
