Band 5 Midwife - Midwifery

Are you soon to qualify as a midwife and are looking for a supportive preceptorship programme to consolidate your training ?

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is a large, friendly Level 3 unit providing care for approximately 3600 women a year. We are looking for enthusiastic team members to promote safe, compassionate care to our maternity service users and their families. Successful applicants will need to have been recently qualified/about to qualify or are presently on a preceptorship programme and wishing to transfer areas to complete their preceptorship programme.

We offer a 12 month rotational preceptorship programme, working within the inpatient and outpatient areas to support the consolidation of your training. You will be given dedicated teaching sessions and offered regular PMA sessions to support with your ongoing professional development requirements. We actively support you to develop and enhance your skills to maximise your potential in all aspects of midwifery. On successful completion of your preceptorship year, you will be offered a Band 6 position.
