Fixed Term Consultant in General Medicine
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Applications are invited for the above post of Fixed Term Consultant in General Medicine in the Medicine Division, based at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, part of the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will join a relatively new and rapidly developing department with plans to transport service delivery within the medicine division.
General Medicine is an area that is only expected to grow in the coming years and as such we are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated workforce to help develop and improve the services we currently offer in the Trust. This is a time of real excitement as we look to build a team that can work with our key stakeholders in developing new pathways. This role in particular would focus on the development of general internal medicine and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients whilst also contributing to improving mortality, patient experience, length of stay etc. However as a team we are looking to develop further community work, and work with our Emergency Floor colleagues in developing pathways to prevent protracted hospital admissions. We also welcome an appropriate specialist interest. The post holder will work with the multi-disciplinary team and Physician colleagues across the Trust.
