Based at the University of Bradford, a blend of onsite and remote working to be agreed

The University non-medical help (NMH) Specialist Study Coach Service is evolving. The service provides specialist support for students with a diagnosed Mental Health condition through a team of well-qualified and dedicated study coaches who work on an hourly paid basis.

This post provides an exciting opportunity for a an existing team member to support the evolution of the specialist strand. In addition to bring specialist study coaches together as a community of practitioners, there will be opportunities to deliver awareness raising training and to support even more students who are funded by the Disabled Student Allowance to engage in services.

The post-holder will support a caseload of students alongside agreed responsibilities to develop the specialist strand and improve outcomes for students in study, and where built into their degree, in the workplace. An element of the work will also focus on transition support for students with low incidence, high impact conditions in the pre-entry periods.

This exciting role will raise the profile of the impact of commonly encountered conditions and impairments on disabled students, as part of the wider university strategy to offer an inclusive and accessible university experience.
