Role Overview & Responsibilities
Full-time, fixed-term until 30/09/2026.
The post is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to work in a key-supporting role for an internationally leading academic. Professor Riley is the British Heart Foundation Professor Regenerative Medicine and Director of the Institute of Developmental Regenerative Medicine, and leads an active research team focusing on cardiovascular developmental biology, modelling congenital heart disease and regenerative strategies to repair the adult heart after a heart attack.
The post holder will need to demonstrate an exceptional level of organisational ability, efficient time management and must be confident in making decisions, on behalf of Professor Riley and his team, to ensure the best use of their time. A positive and flexible attitude is important, together with a pro-active approach to the role. You will provide a range of high quality, efficient and effective administration, secretarial and projects support to Professor Riley, including responsibility for his calendar and diary management, organisation of meetings and seminars as well as managing incoming correspondence and enquiries.
You will have experience of providing high-level support working in an administrative role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a professional demeanour and a flexible approach to work are essential. You will have experience in managing multiple tasks and adhering to tight deadlines when required.
This role is available immediately and is full-time (36.5 hours per week) based at the Institute of Developmental & Regenerative Medicine https://www.idrm.ox.ac.uk within the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics https://www.dpag.ox.ac.uk . This is a fixed-term position until 30th September 2026.
