Assistant Coach - Women's Rugby

Location: Wide Lane, Eastleigh SO50 5PE (+ away game locations)
About Us: SUWRFC is a reputable sports club dedicated to promoting inclusivity and advancing women’s rugby. We have our first XV playing in the Women's Western Tier 2A and newly implemented development team for the 23/24 season. We strive to create a supportive environment for athletes to develop their skills, enhance their teamwork and achieve their highest potential. As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Coach to join our Head Coach.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in coaching women’s rugby and in coaching forward players. They will also be able and willing to travel with the team to away games.
As the Assistant Coach you will work closely with our head coach to provide exceptional training, guidance, and support to our women’s rugby team. You will contribute to the development of training plans and implementing strategies and foster a positive and motivating atmosphere for our club, offering constructive feedback to our players.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the head coach in planning and implementing effective training sessions and match strategies.
· Provide individual and group coaching to enhance players’ skills, understanding and overall performance.
· Travel with the club to all competitions
· Supervise team activities
· Exposure to rules and etiquette of the sport
Pay: £10/hr for training sessions (2hr sessions), £40 per game, £60 per game further than 50 miles away.
Schedule: 2hr training sessions on Monday & Friday evenings. Matches played on Wednesdays.
Qualifications: Level 2 ERCA
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4 - 10 per week
Salary: £10.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Eastleigh, SO50 5PE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
