New opening - February 2023

The team behind Six by Nico are delighted to announce the opening of our brand new bakery concept. Valaria, coming in February 2023 to the heart of the West End.

Valaria will serve up delicious Cake, Pastry & Bakery products such as Petit Gateaux, Laminated Pastries and many many more.

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of desserts, pastries or other sweet goods. Your skill in baking high quality treats should be matched by your creativity to develop new amazing tastes and recipes.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations.

The team at Six by Nico are really excited about our new addition to the family and we would love you to be part of it.

A Pastry Chef at Valaria will;

• Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure a smooth running of the day to day operations
• Assume responsibility for monitoring stock levels
• Have the ability to create pastries and baked goods by following a set recipe
• Be able to decorate products to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation
• Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
• You will have strong organisation skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

The role

• The bakery will be located on Byres Road, however, production will take place in our development kitchen in Anniesland.
• The role will see you working 5 over 7 days a week.
• 45 hours a week

Salary starting at £35,000 p/a inclusive of service charge - salary will be paid at an hourly rate.
