Welsh Language Translator
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We wish to recruit a translator to support our Welsh Language Services at the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.
The work is varied and interesting, as we translate a wide range of content varying from web-page content, patient information leaflets, publicity campaigns, job descriptions, policies, interfaces for systems and applications.
You must have significant experience in translating and proof-reading from English to Welsh and vice versa, ideally in the health & social care sector.
You must have an excellent command of grammar in both languages and you will have a degree in the Welsh language or other languages and/or linguistics.
You will have knowledge and understanding of using translation memory software and term-bases and will be able to translate a minimum of between 2,500 to 3,500 words per working day.
We have offices in Cwmbran, Swansea and St Asaph. We also offer hybrid working.
