Summary

Join our friendly and supportive team as a Waking Night Support Worker at Meadow Lodge Respite Service in Chippenham.

If you would like to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, then this is the job for you.

1 x 32 hours per week.

1 x 22 hours per week worked over two nights.

Starting salary £21,968 pro rata per annum plus 33% unsocial hours plussage.

These are part time roles, but should you wish to, there is an opportunity to work additional hours.

About the role

As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will be based at Meadow Lodge, our four-bed respite service in Chippenham and will support adults over the age of eighteen who have a learning disability and or autism, and may also have communication difficulties, limited mobility, and epilepsy.

You will be required to support with all aspects of the individual’s needs, which includes provision of personal care, following epilepsy profiles, administration of medication, domestic and admin duties.

You will be supported to undertake a 26-week probationary period with regular meetings throughout this time to monitor progress and enable us to identify any areas that we can offer you additional support.

As part of our Respite Service, we provide 24-hour care to our customers throughout the year; night shift hours are 9.00pm - 7.00am.

There will be the expectation of occasional daytime working to attend training courses.

You will have the ability to work in a person-centred manner, promoting well-being, choices, dignity, and independence.

The ability to be a good communicator, build positive working relationships, as well as proven ability to remain calm in any situation is essential.
