Retail Assistant

Hancocks Cash & Carry is part of the World of Sweets Group and is the country’s leading confectionery trade-only cash and carry.

We have a vacancy for a full time Retail Assistant (41.25 hours per week) at our Cardiff (CF11 8EQ) Cash & Carry Store

Working pattern will include one late evening (Thursday) to 8.00 p.m. and Sunday morning to 1.00 p.m. alternate weeks.

Temporary 3 Month Contract

As a Retail Assistant your key duties will be:

• Checkout operation.
• Stock replenishment.
• Give great customer service.
• To join as part of a small, friendly, hard-working team.

Retail Assistant requirements are:

• Experience within a retail or wholesale environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Cash handling / till / checkout experience preferred but not essential.
• Good organisational skills and a grasp of basic numeracy.
• The ability to communicate well at all levels.
• The drive and determination to succeed in a fast paced environment.
• A friendly and approachable person who can build relationships with both customers and staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42-£10.82 per hour
